<Rehearing Monteverdi in Film: Voices in <The full Monteverdi>(2007)>

Jung explicated that this film imitated the way of poet meets music in the Madrigal Book by Monteverdi when image encounters music. Also, he indicated that the sublime gap between Monteverdi’s song and image editing in the film made this work original. According to his explanation, if two things perfectly match, they become a slogan, not a madrigal or film.

 

<Just Music, Nonetheless Music: Sounds Played by Ludomusicology>

This paper used the concept, diegesis and non-diegesis when it explained the relationship between characters in Final Fantasy and its scores. The music in this game looks diegetic at first glance, but the author asserted that it is non-diegetic since characters do not listen to music and seem even cannot hear this sound.

“Just music, nonetheless music” was quoted by the famous anecdote of Cho, Chi-Hoon(趙治勳, 1956-), a Baduk player whose style is known for a fierce battle. When he got into a serious car accident a few days before the game, he refused to be hospitalized and decided to play the game. When people asked him to rest and gave questions about the reason, he replied, ” Just Baduk, nonetheless Baduk.”
